The Border Half Marathon:

The inaugural event of the Border Half Marathon took place in Corbally on Sunday. Co-organised by our own Edel Henriques, the race was very well run, marshalled and attended. The race sold out quickly and we had a large number of members running.

The race was won by Sean Hehir in 1:07:45. He was followed by our own Mike Sheehy in second place. It’s a welcome return to form for Mike after a spell out with injury. He was followed by Shane Quille, Kate Murray, Derek Kenrick, Dympna Lawlor, Tara Carr, Niamh Mulcahy, Audrey O Dwyer 1:55, James Dalton, Mark Ryan, Noelle Leahy, Norma Brosnahan and Niamh Humphries.

Well done to all.

Waterford Half Marathon:
Well done to Paul Crotty who travelled to run in this very popular race in Waterford. Paul finished it in a time of 1 hour 48 minutes.

Duhallow 4k Race Series:
Declan Guina finished in pole position for the second week in a row in this week’s race which took place in Mountcollins. Declan won the race in 14:56.
