Results

This weekend proved to be a busy and successful one with many of our athletes competing in a range of races. Congratulations to everyone who represented the club this weekend.

RunClare5K

Aogán MacDomhnaill ran the RunClare5K in Lisdoonvarna on Saturday finishing in first place.

Raheny 5 Mile

Over 3700 entered for The 39th AXA Raheny 5 Mile Road Race

This is one of the top club races in the country, and it was a highly competitive race. 

Our own club was well represented with

Declan Guina finishing in a time of 26:23,

Killian Lynch 27:03, Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill 27:05 and Carmel MacDomhnaill 40:50.

Sorcha finished in a strong second place to Ann Marie McGlynn (26:43). Carmel was third in her category.

Aaron Lynch was 7th in the Junior category with a time of 29:30.

Doneraile 5K

Doneraile 5k was run by North Cork AC on Sunday morning and a group of our juveniles competed in the race. Ellie Mai & Molly O Connor, Conor Mcloughlin and Mollie & Daniel Buckley took part well done to you all .

Kerins O Rahilly 10K 

This race was held in Tralee on Sunday. 

Karl Lenihan was 3rd overall. Con Mulcahy also competed and ran a great race. Kate Murray was first woman home in the 10K adding to her collection of silverware. Our juvenile member Fiona Mulcahy also competed in the 5K and was the first woman home.

Congratulations to all.

Save The Date

The annual CRY Monagea walk/run/cycle takes place on April 29th this year. This is always a wonderfully enjoyable event and for such a great cause in memory of Niamh and Darra.

Curtins Londis Adare 10k:

Our annual club 10k is Sold Out since October. Transfer information is on our Londis Adare 10K  Facebook page. The transfer window is open until February 8th and emails have been sent by Eventmaster to everyone who has bought an entry.

Volunteers:

The club need the assistance of volunteers to aid in the running of this important club race. Please contact the club through our social media channels or email info@westlimerickac.ie if you are available.

Club Training:

Juvenile:

Club training continues each Monday evening at 6.30pm. All details are on the juvenile WhatsApp group. 

Adult Training:

Tuesdays on the Limerick Greenway. Starting at the entrance opposite the Gael Scoil.

7pm Fit4Life training with coach Mark Ryan.

7:15pm Club Interval training.

Sundays on the Limerick Greenway.

Starting at 10am from Rathkeale.

Anyone attending any club training must be a current member for 2023.

Juvenile membership is €25 , Adult membership is €35.
