The All Real Adare 10K
One of the most highly anticipated races in the calendar year for any athlete wanting to challenge themselves on a tough but rewarding course.
Over 730 of the 1,000 registered took to the start line with great athletes from all over the country. The span of runners from around the country increases every year as the word spreads about this great race.
The men’s winner was Jake O’Regan of St.Johns breaking the existing course record by 9 seconds. In 2nd was Declan Moore of Bilboa AC and 3rd was Barry Donovan of Cork Track club.
The men’s team winner with 4 to score were host club West Limerick AC. The athletes for the club that scored were: Karl Lenihan Killian Lynch Aogán MacDomhnaill Garry Carroll
The first female was Grace Lynch of Iveragh AC in a staggering time of 34:32 taking two minutes off the course record. Dymphna Ryan of Dundrum AC was 2nd and 3rd was Mary Mulhare of Portlaoise AC. The women’s team winners with 4 to score were Dooneen AC.
Karl Lenihan was our first West Limerick A.C male home and also got to clinch the Willie Costello cup in a time of 35:00
Aisling Fitzgerald was our first West Limerick A.C Female home and was the deserving winner of the Corn na mBan in a time of 42:57
We also had over 30 Fit4Life members competing in today’s race and it was absolutely fantastic to have them with us.
It was a fantastic race and everything ran smoothly but all of this could not have been possible without the help of our volunteers on the day, to everyone who volunteered we can’t thank you enough and to also our sponsors none of this would be possible without your contributions.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the streets of Adare once again next year, it’s only 364 days away so don’t put the runners away yet!!!

- Anyone attending must be a 2022 member
- Tuesday 1st March
- Two adult training groups.
- Fit4Life – with Coach Mark Ryan. Meeting at Limerick Greenway, Newcastle West Gael Scoil Entrance, 7pm to 8pm.
- Or
- Interval Training – Meeting at Ardagh Church Car Park , 7.15pm to 8.15pm.
- Please wear high vis and a light/head torch
