West Limerick A.C Notes 07/07/21
Tuesday training
Our juveniles are on summer break so there is no juvenile training until August.
Adult training continues with coach Ger Cremin from 7:10-8:10pm. Please have the covid health Questionnaire filled out beforehand.
Carolyn Hayes Olympian
The club would like to congratulate Carolyn Hayes who has been announced to represent team Ireland at the Tokyo Olympics which will take place on the 27th of July. Carolyn is competing in the women’s Triathlon.
Opening of the Limerick Greenway
The Limerick greenway which stretches 40km through the three market towns of Rathkeale, Newcastle West and Abbeyfeale is now open. This is very exciting news for all our members as the greenway offers us a safe place to train on. The newly resurfaced route is the perfect surface for running on.
Dundrum 10k road race
We had six runners travel to Dundrum last Wednesday evening for the Dundrum 10k road race, we had great results as follows, Niall O’Callaghan (34.09), Mike Sheehy (34.46),Karl Lenihan (35.04) PB, Kevin O’Donoghue (38.51) PB, Marcella Mcgrath (46.20), Eddie O’Sullivan (51.32), Well done
