Run Killarney Half Marathon & 10K

Killarney was the venue on Saturday for a number of our runners where the popular Killarney half marathon & 10k took place. There was a very big turnout for both races. The weather played its part as the runners made there away around the scenic routes of Muckross House and Killarney National Park. In the half marathon Michael Guiney was our first runner home in a time of 1:35:37 followed closely by Paul Crotty who set a new personal best time of 1:37:05. Diarmuid McCarthy clocked a time of 1:41:55 over the 13.1 miles. Kate Murray led home the West Limerick ladies in a time of 1:50:23. Suzanne Kennedy and Breda O Sullivan also ran well to finish in 1:53:47 and 2:08:14 respectively.
In the 10K it was great to see John O Connell back out in the green and white finishing in a time of 44:25 and Catriona Lenihan finished well up the field also in an excellent time of 47:34 setting a new personal best in the process. Well done to all our runners on the day.
