April Virtual 10km
In order to keep everyone’s hopes up and spirits high as we look forward to a time where we will be racing together again, we organised a virtual 10km club challenge between athletics clubs in limerick for the month of April. We are pleased to say this was a huge success and some great personal bests and performances were shown. Our friends from Limerick Country club A.C, Bilboa A.C and Dooneen A.C all competed in the friendly challenge. West Limerick A.C took top four places on the leader board with Niall O Callaghan running 33:22, Karl Lenihan running 35:58, Garry Carroll running 36:03 and Ger Guina running 36:35. Karen Raine of Dooneen A.C was first lady home in a time of 43:55, followed closely by Yvonne Deegan of Limerick Country Club A.C in 45:00. Taking third place is Claire Knight of Dooneen A.C in 47:56. West limerick members also running the 10km distance were Killian Lynch (37:41), Mike Sheehy (37:49), Colm McCarthy (38:32), Kevin O Donoghue (40:00), Kevin Kelly (42:09), Jerry Curtin(42:34), Martin Lyons (43:42), Declan Lynch (50.01), and Majella O’Connor (1:10:05). We would like to thank all our members for their continued effort and support.
