Gingerbread Half Marathon
 
Marcella Mcgrath made the trip to Portarlington on Sunday last for the annual Gingerbread run. There was various distances to choose from and Marcella ran the half marathon distance in a very good time of 1:45:43
Analog Devices Adare 10k 2019 
 
The Analog Devices Adare 10K 2019 sold out in record time so unfortunately we have no further places left.
The 25th anniversary of our road race will take place on Sunday February 24th at 1pm.
The race has an Athletics Ireland permit, the course is accurately measured by Jones counter and race timing will be provided by MyRunResults. Entry is for over 18’s only.
As this is our 25th anniversary we are looking forward to welcoming back our previous male and female winners from past races.
 
Adult Training
 

Senior training continues each Tuesday evening at 7pm on the Astro turf in the Desmense Newcastle West.  New members always welcome.

We are delighted to welcome Ger Cremin as our new adult head coach. Ger has a wealth of athletics experience and enthusiasm to get us moving faster as we aim for our new year goals. Ger will begin in the new year.
As a club we will be aiming for County 4 mile and Munster 4 mile championship races in particular.  There is also our Adare 10k and the Great Limerick Run. Training plans will be available on request for club members.
Only registered members will be able to attend club training. The €2 fee remains. Non athletics Ireland members will not be allowed take part for insurance reasons. There will be no exceptions at any stage. This goes for Juvenile, Fit4Life and Intervel training.

Juvenile Training

Juvenile training is on the astro turf in the Desmense, Newcastle West at 6pm each Tuesday evening and on Thursday evening at the community centre Newcastle West. Juveniles have to be 6 years of age to take part in training and 8 years to compete in competitions. Parents are required to be present for the duration of training which is one hour. New members are always welcome.

Please note Juvenile training finishes for winter break on November 22nd.

2019 Registration

2019 West Limerick AC registration is now open for adults (over 19) and juveniles , all registration and payments are now on line, all members are requested to complete the on line form and make the payment electronically. Adult membership (over 19’s) is €35 and Juvenile membership  is €25.  The club is no longer using paper forms  and/ or  cash transactions. It is hoped to have everyone registered by Jan 1st. Church Gate Collection

Our annual church gate collection in Newcastle West takes place on the weekend of Saturday December 1st and Sunday December 2nd Any persons available to assist please contact club chairman Kevin o Donoghue on 085 7462413

Club AGM

Our club AGM is set for Friday November 30th in The Rathkeale House Hotel at 8pm.

Save the date

Our club Christmas party 2018 will be on Saturday December 8th at the Silver Dollar Bar Newcastle West.

Juvenile Christmas Party

Christmas party for our juvenile members and families will take place in the community centre Newcastle West on January 6th at 2pm
