Club Notes 19/03/2018

Croom 10k and Half Marathon

Well done to Mark Ryan who completed the half marathon in 1:58:48 and to Trish Collins who ran the 10k in 58:29.

Tralee Harriers Half-Marathon & 10k

The Tralee half marathon and 10k took place on Saturday and there was a grand turnout of over 400 runners on the day. This is one of the more popular half marathon/10k events and attracts a large crowd annually. Weather conditions were very challenging with heavy wind and rain but this didn’t deter any of our athletes who make the journey down to brave the elements.

The half marathon was won by Derek Griffin In 1.15.29 and first lady home was Sorcha Loughnane In 1:28:22.

We had 3 of our west limerick athletes who took part in the half marathon and all performed very well on the day. Gerard Hanlon was our first man home in 1:38:03. Suzanne Kennedy also had a great run and completed the course in 1:48:56. She was followed by Niamh Humphries in 2:17:41.Great running and well done to everyone.

Adare 10K

We are delighted to announce that we are inviting back all past winners again in 2020. We had a great response this year and we in West Limerick A.C. felt that it was the right to continue to support the athletes that have supported us in the past.

So if you won in the past but missed out this year don’t worry as we will have a place reserved for you in 2020.
