This event is unique in that it is run entirely on sand along the beaches of Brandon Bay in West Kerry.  Liam Hurrell took on the half marathon distance and had a top ten finish in 1.34.11. a very good run by Liam on the sand. West Limerick AC had the winner of the 10K with Karl Lenihan first home in a time of 40.33. Declan O Keeffe also had a strong race coming home in 46.58 and a top 20 finish. Kilkee Half Marathon

The Run Kilkee half marathon & 10K 2018 took place on Saturday last in the Co.Clare town. The route for the half marathon event runs along the loop head peninsula and while scenic is also a challenging course with plenty of hills for the runners to contend with. We had two members competing in the half marathon. Michael Guiney had a very good run coming in just under 1.45 in a time of 1.44.34 which was very solid running on this course. We also had Bryan Hartnett running on the day finishing in a time of 2.09.06. It’s great to see Bryan back running consistently and clocking up the miles again. Well done to both Michael and Bryan.
