Curraghchase 10k run/walk
The Curraghchase 10k run/walk took place on Sunday and there was a huge turnout again this year to support this well organised popular event.We had a large representation from west limerick on the day all doing well on the challenging course.
Liam Hurrell lead the men home in 39.59 taking 6th place overall in the race. He was followed by Martin Liston 42.27, Con mulcahy 45.19, John O’Connell 45.27, Gerard donovan 45.59, Mark Ryan 48.21, Sheila Clavin 48.32, Kate murray 49.58, Tara Carr 52.29, James Dalton 52.36, Declan Lynch 53.33, trish Collins 56.24, David Goggin 57.58, willie Costello 1.09,36, Majella O Connor 1.09.24, Eileen O’Connor 1.17.10 and Patrica Gayer 1.17.12.Well done to all.

Streets of Galway 8k race
The famous streets of Galway race took place on Saturday hosted by Galway street harriers. This is one of the more popular summer races and there was a huge turnout on the night despite the very wet weather conditions. The race was won by Damien Landers in 24.20. We had a good few of the west limerick crew travel up to take part and all performed well. Declan Guina continued his good form finishing in 27.04. He was followed by Mark lenihan 29.50, George O’Sullivan 32.12, Catriona lenihan 34.14, Martina Ahern 38.45(PB) and Carmel MacDomhnaill 41.36.
Excellent running well done to all.
There were a number of club members running in the county Parkruns this weekend. Well done to all. The fastest Parkrun runners overall in Limerick this weekend were JJ Cremin of An Bru A.C. 18:12 in Mungret and Antoinette Coleman in Limerick 21:18

Well done to club member Sheila Calvin first Woman home at the Ocean view Park 5k in a time of 22:15.
Galtee Runners 8k:
The Galtee Runners 8km race took place on Friday night. Niall Shanahan of An Bru won it in a time of 24:35. Niamh moore of Leevale AC was first woman in 28:48. Sean O Sullivan was representing the club and finished in a time of 31:53.
