Return to Adult training
We are delighted to announce we will be making a long awaited return to adult training on Tuesday May 11th on grass in the demesne, Newcastle west from 7:10pm to 8:10pm. The few extra minutes will allow juveniles extra time to leave the area. Please have your membership for 2021 up to date and bring 2 euro with you to go towards coaching and the running of the club.
Juvenile Training Returns
We are delighted to announce that we have returned to club juvenile training on Tuesdays, 6pm to 7pm on grass in the Demesne, Newcastle West. We are delighted to welcome Olivia Fitzgerald and Tom Galvin to our existing coaching team. Tom is a highly accomplished throws coach, specialising in shot putt, javelin, and discus. To participate in training, juveniles must be registered club members for 2021. Juvenile membership is now closed as we have reached full capacity for now. All future online applications will be put on a waiting list.

April Virtual 10km
In order to keep everyone’s hopes up and spirits high as we look forward to a time where we will be racing together again, we organised a virtual 10km club challenge between athletics clubs in limerick for the month of April. We are pleased to say this was a huge success and some great personal bests and performances were shown. Our friends from Limerick Country club A.C, Bilboa A.C and Dooneen A.C all competed in the friendly challenge. West Limerick A.C took top three places on the leader board with Niall O Callaghan running 33:22, Karl Lenihan running 35:58, Garry Carroll running 36:03. Karen Raine of Dooneen A.C was first lady home in a time of 43:55, followed closely by Yvonne Deegan of Limerick Country Club A.C in 45:00. Taking third place was our own Suzanne Kennedy in 46:48. West limerick members also running the 10km distance were Ger Guina (36:35) Killian Lynch (37:41), Mike Sheehy (37:49), Colm McCarthy (38:32), Kevin O Donoghue (40:00), Kevin Kelly (42:09), Jerry Curtin(42:34), Martin Lyons (43:42), Kate Murray (47:01), Declan Lynch (50.01), and Majella O’Connor (1:10:05). We would like to thank all our members for their continued effort and support, and we wish them a big welcome back as we return to training.
