Cork to Cobh
 
Seamus Cawley continued his Dublin marathon preparation on Sunday by taking part in the Cork to Cobh 15 mile. Seamus had a solid run on the day covering the course in 1.55.43 leaving Seamus well placed overall as he enters the final few weeks training before Dublin
 
Parkrun
 
Michael Guiney was again in park run action on Saturday last this time in Mungret, Co. Limerick where he posted a very good time of 20.06.
Analog Devices Adare 10k 2019
We are delighted to announce our Race T-Shirt & Finishers Medal for the Analog Devices Adare 10k 2019. The 25th anniversary of our road race will take place on Sunday February 24th at 1pm. Registration is limited to 850 participants. The entry fee remains at €20 plus booking fee.
We were SOLD OUT in 2017 and 2018 by mid January.
Registration opens on Monday October 1st
The course remains the same as the past few years and we are delighted to announce that we will have race day t-shirts and a finishers medal for all 850 participants.
The race has an Athletics Ireland permit, the course is accurately measured by Jones counter and race timing will be provided by MyRunResults. Entry is for over 18’s only. It is the same entry fee for runners and walkers.
As this is our 25th anniversary we are looking forward to welcoming back our previous male and female winners from past races.
 
Cross Country Season
 
The cross country season is approaching quickly and this year Bilboa AC will be hosting the Senior, intermediate and uneven ages at 4pm on Saturday October 6th.Bilboa AC will also be hosting the novice, masters and even ages on Sunday October 14th. Only registered club members can participate in these championship events.
Adult Training
 

Our Tuesday night senior training sessions on the Astro turf in the Desmense are now back in full swing after the summer break with training commencing at 7pm. New members always welcome.

Juvenile Training

Juvenile training continues in the Desmense, Newcastle West at 6pm each Tuesday evening and on Thursday evening in the community centre Newcastle West. Juveniles have to be 6 years of age to take part in training and 8 years to compete in competitions. Parents are required to be present for the duration of training which is one hour. New members are always welcome.

Church Gate Collection

Our annual church gate collection in Newcastle West takes place on the weekend of Saturday December 1st and Sunday December 2nd. Any persons available to assist please contact club chairman Kevin o Donoghue on 085 7462413

Club Meeting

Our next club meeting takes place on October 26th at 8pm in The Rathkeale House Hotel. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Our club AGM is set for November 30th in The Rathkeale House Hotel at 8pm.

Our club Christmas party 2018 will be on Saturday December 8th. More details to follow soon .
