Castleconnell 10k

The race was won by recently crowned county 4 mile winner Declan Moore of Bilboa AC in a time of 33.01. Well done to Karl Lenihan who finished 4th in 37.35. There was also a welcome return to 10k action for Sheila Clavin in 48.59. 154 runners in total took part in the 10k.

Eamon Moloney 10k Road Run.

The third race of the Clare series took place yesterday morning in Ennis and there was a huge turnout of over 800 runners out to support this hugely popular event.

Weather conditions were ideal on the day with lots of sunshine and a mild breeze for the runners.

The overall race honours were taken by Sean Doyle of North Cork winning the race in 31.09 and Grace lynch of Iveragh A.C was the first women home in 35.22.

We had a number of our west limerick athletes travel to Ennis to take part and all performed very well. Michael guiney continued to give another fine performance completing the 10k course in 42.11. Also running on the day were Con Mulcahy, Mary Folan-Ryan,Ide Curtin and Corina Sheedy.

Well done to everyone on what was a very well organised and enjoyable event.

West Limerick A.C. would like to congratulate Gary Wilmott and Lisamarie McCooey on their wedding this past weekend.
